Driving vision
The NCCA welcomes all coaches in northern Colorado - those
obtaining their coaching education, those who are practicing as
coaches in any capacity, and those working to promote the coaching
profession.
Although allied with the ICF, it is not required that NCCA members
are also ICF members or ICF credentialled. However, since the NCCA
retains its status as an ICF chapter, the officer roles of president,
vice president, secretary and treasurer must be ICF members in good
standing. The NCCA fully endorses the ICF professional coaches' code
of conduct.
The updated NCCA charter
* NCCA remains an ICF charter chapter - no change
* NCCA receives $25 reimbursement when and if a coach signs up with the
ICF - no change
* The only difference for an NCCA member being an ICF member is whether
they can hold one of the four ICF-designated officer roles, otherwise
there's no distinction:
* Activity fee paid to NCCA (currently $25/year) is the same
* Website advertising fee (currently $42/lifetime) is the same
* Member can hold any of the other officer roles
* No distinction made on the NCCA website, or the flow of information
* Any NCCA member can use the NCCA logo in their coach marketing
* NCCA formally and fully endorses the ICF code of conduct - no change
* As a promoter of education and professionalism for coaches in
Northern Colorado, the NCCA will pull resources from the ICF,
CoachVille, PCMA or other organizations to meet the needs of its
membership. These needs include:
* Provide a network for members to support each other, and share
professional knowledge and best practices
* Increase skills and effectiveness of members
* Promoting coaching to the community
* To this end, the NCCA will formalize the role of "ICF liaison",
"CoachVille liaison", and possibly other liaison roles, to facilitate
a two-way dialog with these leading industry bodies. We will pursue
discussions with the Boulder Coaches Alliance and Denver Coach
Federation, to explore whether stronger ties will be of value to
all organizations.
* An NCCA Affiliate (this was something added last year) must be
determined to be supportive of the NCCA's goals - and this is at the
NCCA's sole discretion - no change
