NCCA Meeting Minutes

Pat, Lloyd, MaryKay to proactively work with state legislature on discussions which are underway around regulating Coaching
We want to find two people from both the Boulder chapter and the Denver chapter
Victoria can help represent the Boulder Chapter
Irene will be meeting with the president of the Boulder Chapter tomorrow
Lloyd, MaryKay, Victoria to meet next week to discuss next steps

December 6th is our holiday potluck - Pat will talk about Coaching Therapy
We would like to invite the Boulder and Denver chapters to the potluck, which would mean we want to have a larger location and perhaps change the time

For this year Irene will be in charge of the Activities Circle and MaryKay will lead the Meeting Circle
The Planning Circle is working on planning the budget, and on the process for planning
In September we'll have a presentation and discussion on the activities
If you have input/ideas/advice, please come to the planning circle meeting on September 12^thor contact Irene or MaryKay

We have over $800 in the bank
We are proposing an annual membership of $25 to belong to this group, which would give us a decent amount of money to do activities
The Denver/Boulder chapters have higher dues - they pay some speakers, pay for a meeting space, and have more outreach activities
Questions/Comments:
- Do we want to create a budget first and then set dues appropriately?
- What are the guidelines for spending NCCA money?
- Are we going to tackle questions of the ICF membership and affiliation?
- Charging dues gives a message that we are delivering value to the members
- $25 seems cheap
- Can the planning circle be more opportunistic in finding opportunities to further the group mission?
Martha passed out a first draft of the budget
Irene: "We aren't really deciding that much in the budget beside the dues"
Collecting dues would allow us to know for certain who's a member
The plan is to vote on this next month, whoever shows up at the meeting on September 26^th.
The intention is to have the NCCA membership vote on large expenditures, but there's not a process yet
We would like to have on the agenda in September or October a discussion around the ICF membership requirement and whether we should change it.
Anybody who has input/ideas should attend the planning meeting on September 12^th or contact Martha or Irene

Lynn and Christine are working on a fall event to get input on the vision, how we can make more of an impact
They will update the group as proposals and decisions are made

Vote for ICF board of directors this month, Pat is running for a seat - deadline September 15^th
There is a new ACC credential, applications are open for ACC/PCC/MCC - deadline September 17^th
ICF worked with USAToday on some articles

The WPCC has the first draft of a one-sheet description and vision, and Terry A will talk to Irene about affiliation with NCCA and putting info on the NCCA website
