·        “Summer of Connection: Kickoff Picnic” NCCA Family Picnic will take place at City Park in Ft. Collins on Tuesday, June 4 from 5 until dark.  Everyone is invited along with family and friends.  We’ve reserved shelter number 7 on the west side of the park between the train station and the golf course.  Bring a dish to share, whatever meat you want to grill, and your own drinks, plates, and silverware.  We will have tennis rackets, kick ball, frisbee, and ????? ·        “Summer of Connection: Small Group Discussion”  **Building Your Practice**  Monday, June 17^th,  7:00pm.  Come learn from each other the best ways you have learned to build your coaching practice.  Bring your questions on “how to”!  Let’s look for new and innovative ideas to build our practices. ·        “Summer Coaching League” will make its debut this summer.  See attached flyer for details.  In brief, we will be running a “coaching league” where participant coaches are “matched” with another participant coach each week to either do some reciprocal coaching, or to discuss each other’s coaching philosophies.  This is a REAL league with a commissioner, a schedule, and an awards ceremony at the end.    
Sign up by emailing irenestein@att.net with ‘Summer Coaching League’ in the subject line. Include your name, email address and phone number, and a short paragraph on what you want to get out of participating in the league (your intention).  Deadline is June 15^th by 10pm.  A general schedule will be published.

·        “Summer of Connection: Small Group Discussions”  OK, Coaches, it is time to step up to the line – for yourself and your colleagues! ·         NCCA is participating in the Holistic Arts Fair again this year (3^rd time in a row).  Saturday, June 15, 2002, 9 am - 5 pm. Coaches are encouraged to come and share booth time as well as peruse the show.  Come see our new NCCA banner, practice answering the question, “What is this thing called coaching?” and do some on-the-spot coaching to an appreciative and amazed audience.  Karen Hilgefort khilgefort@mail.com and Lucinda Kerschensteiner info@LucindaK.com are co-facilitating.  Contact one of them to sign up for booth time.  If you just want to send some coaching brochures or business cards, drop materials with one of the facilitators. 
 

·        ICF Virtual Community will feature JULIO OLALLA, founder of the Newfield Network, an international education and consulting organization that is committed to bringing new and powerful ways of learning and interpretation to individuals and organizations.  Julio will address the topic, "Transforming Our Coaching Sessions: Shifting Being and Achieving Results," from his unique perspective.  Don't miss this informative program on Monday, June 3, 4:30-6:00 pm MDT on bridgeline 904-357-8707.  No pre-registration required.

It's finally here!  Our Virtual Community Summer Hummer!   A trio of high profile coaches will be our guests at the ICF Virtual Community meetings in June, July and August.  The topic of each presentation will be "Transforming Our Coaching Sessions: Shifting Being and Achieving Results."  Learn how to help your clients see the value that internal changes have on accomplishing external goals.  Remember, the Virtual Community is benefit for ALL ICF members, whether they belong to a regular chapter or not!   

·         Our next regular membership meeting (June 27, 12-2 at Lonestar restaurant in Ft. Collins) will feature our own Carl Dierschow, presenting: “You’re in Charge—The New Paradigm of Career Development.”  All are welcome!

·         Our next planning circle meeting will be June 13, 12:15 –2 at Rocky Mountain coffee connection.  We will be starting to plan next year’s activities and budget.  All are welcome!

·         We passed out an updated roster to all of our members and friends at the last meeting.  This roster is only for communication and connection purposes and should not be used for solicitation or promotion.  For changes or a copy contact Carl at carl_dierschow@hp.com .  We will continue to list member information on the website and for an extra fee, you can have an extended biography on the NCCA website (this is especially helpful if you haven’t gotten your own site up yet).

Keynote Speakers Confirmed!  The ICF Conference Committee is excited to announce the roster of keynote speakers for the 2002 Annual International Conference:
Mark Byran, author of The Artist's Way at Work (with Julia Cameron and Catherine Allen).
Jack Canfield -- you know, The Chicken Soup guy! Jack is coming to share with us his latest book called The Power of Focus: How to Hit your Business, Personal and Financial Targets with Absolute Certainty (co-authored with Les Hewitt and Mark Victor Hansen).
Benjamin Zander -- Ben Zander is the author (co-authored with Rosamund Zander) of The Art of Possibility: Transforming Professional and Personal Life. Ben is also the highly acclaimed conductor for the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra.
