NCCA Website

History

A group of coaches from the Back Porch Gang decided to get together and create a website featuring information about the individual coaches and the organization in general. The site was paid for by the individual coaches featured on it. Over time we found the site to be more of an informational arm for our coaching group so, in 2001 the Back Porch Gang, now also know as the Northern Colorado Coaches Alliance, voted to have the website be sponsored by the entire organization.

New member coaches can get their pictures and 110 to 150 word bios on the site for a one time fee of $42.00. Through the end of April 2002 the monthly costs for hosting and marketing the site will be paid for by funds in an escrow account for the site. In our next fiscal year the site will be paid for by group dues or some other fund raising option.

Procedures

To be on the website you must be a member of the NCCA and an ICF member.

Give one time check for $42.00 to Martha Conant, our treasurer.

Get a picture and 100 to 150 word bio or info you want listed to Carl Dierschow, our webmaster.

Get changes or new information to Carl on a monthly basis.

Benefits of the Website

There are many benefits to the chapter and the individual members for being on the site. It is listed with search engines and usually comes up high in searches for Colorado coaches. The site is linked from the ICF site, so both potential clients and new coaches can connect to us from that site. Many new coaches use it to have a presence on the web. Information about meetings and upcoming activities are posted there, benefitting current members and the community. Good definitions of what coaching is and isn't are on the site as background information for prospective clients. Our mission and purpose as well as details about who we are and how we operate are on it. The site looks great and represents us well.
